Death Is A Part of Life - Workshop
$50.00

Death Is A Part of Life is a nonreligious, interactive, and activity-filled workshop designed to address stigma around dying and death, develop fluency around grief, and facilitate a space for honest conversation, so we can plan accordingly for the end of life.

This workshop is not only for loved ones of the conscious and unconscious dying; it is also for everyone who wants their affairs to be in order, the way they desire.

Upon completing this series, you will have important documents filled out, resources that will help you navigate end-of-life for a loved one or yourself more confidently, and to enhance communication skills around grief.

About the workshop facilitator and creator

Cheeraz Gormon is a poet, writer, artist, and end-of-life doula. She came into this work after assisting her paternal grandmother during her dying process in 2013 and supporting her family after the sudden and tragic loss of my youngest brother, John, in the same year. Cheeraz’s goal is to help people work through the stigma created around death and dying, and to help individuals prepare for what can be prepared for when it comes to death. Her desire to get people thinking deeply about reclaiming or creating practices and rituals that bring comfort, allow grief to be processed in a healthy manner, and facilitate healing for the dying and the living. When it comes to service to the dying, she wants to make sure each person lives until they die with dignity, care, a listening ear, compassion, and loving support. Cheeraz received her End-of-Life Doula certificate from the University of Vermont in 2023, and she is a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance.
